Bunfest 2016

Bunfest 2016 wasn't all it could have been, both me and daddy are rather disappointed with the volunteer organizer, so this might be our last official blog covering Bunfest.

The emails daddy exchanged with the organizers were positive, but when we got there today we were caught off guard when one of the organizers escorted us out because we didn't have someone with us at the time. Now, the arrangements daddy had made was for grandma, grandpa and my cousins Robbie and Arthur would arrive later in the day to drive us home. However the lady that escorted us out said that it wasn't good enough and we needed a babysitter for the whole day, which tossed out all of our last minute work at making new arrangements to work with the organizers. So, the meltdown that we were all trying to prevent in the first place happened anyway, daddy had to call grandpa and make new arrangements.
What all this means is that grandma (who worked late yesterday and was still sleeping) had to get up early, and get the two boys ready then come all the way up to where we were. So long story short, none of us are happy with Rabbit Rescue or the organizers of Bunfest.

Now on to the good parts of today, we met up with one of daddy's long time friends and his two bonded bunnies, he was more then happy to escort us until grandma and grandpa could get there, so we were still able to do some of our job. Which wasn't all that great.... for me, it meant that daddy was able to get them to torture me earlier, yep, daddy had them cut my nails.
Before the torture began, I got a little break when they had an emergency with another bunny
These are daddy's friends two bunnies, note the camouflage pet stroller
The representative from Martin Mills foods they make my favorite pellets.

I was just a little hungry so

Now, for some of the vendors.
To tell you the truth, I have no idea which vendor this is

The bake shop, Sweets from the Earth daddy said everything looked good, but he didn't want to risk eating anything due to allergies

Okay, not sure who this vendor is either

This is IND WRX

This is the Sarcastic Rabbit

As you can see this is the DiBA Dog vendor

This is their jewelry that they make

One of the t-shirts the humans can get from the Rabbit Rescue Store
And now for some of the toys and treats daddy got for us bunnies.
all the stuff daddy got us

The free treats they handed out at the door

Not sure what the heck this is, a cooshie ball rabbit.

These are oat groats, daddy tells me that Sunki loved these

Daddy got us some willow leaves

my chew toy bowl... lets see how long this will last

Um, daddy, this is NOT a hat

Who turned out the lights

Now for a special section of pictures taken by my older cousin Robbie when he was at Bunfest.

T-minus 8 hours 50 minutes to go

Yep, just 8 hours and 50 minutes to go until Bunfest. Both my grandma and grandpa are coming, and both of my human cousins are coming too *claps Paws together* It's gonna be so awesome.

The not so awesome part, daddy is still threatening to have me tortured there (nail clipping and depending on how much they are charging, a brushing too). Brushing I can stand, nail clipping not so much, but daddy says I now have razor sharp claws instead of cute bunny nails, and everytime he picks me up for a cuddle he gets scratched up (not to mention getting covered in my fur).

On Saturday we were heading home on the bus and daddy and I met a family with the cutest little girl, I think she was just over a year old. Anyway, daddy picked me up so I could say Hi! To her, when he put me back in my stroller he complained that I had started a fur blizzard (a Flizziard if you will) with all the loose fur that started flying around. It's not my fault though, it's shedding season...... and Chewbacca is shedding worse then I am and daddy isn't complaining about him.

Daddy says I have to end this blog because we have to be up early today so we can get to Bunfest and set up our gear.

Not quite ready yet

Well, things are changing a bit from our original plan.
The original plan was that me and daddy would do everything by ourselves on Sunday, then take Uber home. We'll,  it's changed a little, we'll still be doing most of the day on our own. But we won't be taking Uber home, nope, instead grandma and grandpa and my two human cousins are going to come for the last 90 minutes to an hour, then they'll drive us home. We're not sure if my older cousin Robbie (the one we took to Fan Expo earlier this month) is coming, if he does come we're going to put him to work. Daddy is thinking that he'll give Robbie a camera and ask him to go take pictures of stuff, so we might have a special little section in my story with some of Robbie's pictures. Awesome, right?
Bunfest is only 2 days away, and I'm even more excited then ever. Even though daddy is going to have me tortured there, he says I need a good brushing and my nails trimmed. I guess it's okay, though, because daddy says that if I'm good he'll get me toys and treats too, so I'll endure the torture if it means I'll get stuff to play with and eat.

Getting closer

As of this post Bunfest is just 4 days 7 hours away.

Daddy has been busy making plans for all the things we need to do, he's got check lists for his check lists. All of the camera gear is charged and packed up ready to go.

You're going to see a few changes to the way the report is posted, first off there will still be plenty of pictures and video. But new this year we are going to have websites/links to the vendors with some pictures of the stuff they do or sell, this way you guys can buy some of the stuff that is for sale at Bunfest. Oh, and me and daddy are going to be doing this by ourselves for the first time in a few years.

Fan Expo 2016

On Saturday me, daddy, grandma, my human cousin Robbie and daddy's cousin Andrew, and his partner Scotty all went to Fan Expo. Me and daddy met up with Andrew and Scotty at the TTC station and led them over to the convention centre, mostly because those two would get lost getting out of a wet paper bag.
Almost all of us were running a little late, me and daddy missed the bus we needed to take to get to the train station, so we Uber'd it over (we could have taken the subway, but it was shut down most of the way we needed to go). And wouldn't you know it, just because we were running late and just made it to the train station, the train was running late.

Once we got inside we headed for the food court so the humans could have lunch, I already had my lunch, snacks, dinner etc. After lunch we split into two groups, Andrew and Scotty went off to do their thing, we'd meet back up with them later in the day.
Daddy and Robbie were getting a little overwhelmed by the loud noises (for some reason someone thought it was a good idea to have a DJ playing noise in the hallways), so daddy led grandma and Robbie to the family room, which was slightly quieter. Robbie had a nap for a bit, and me and daddy went to look around the retail area. Unlike last year, when we used cell phones to keep in contact (which didn't work so well), this year daddy had walkie talkies, we got one, grandma and Robbie got one, and Andrew and Scotty got the last one. They worked, as long as we were in the same building (the convention center is divided into two, a North and South building, everyone started in the South building), so me and daddy were able to be in contact with grandma and Robbie.
Daddy had some small episodes (meltdowns, panic/anxiety attacks) but was able to control and manage them better this year. Daddy thinks it was because of two factors 1) being given a little responsibility for Robbie at different times during the day, and 2) the big photo op later in the day.

Now, you know we wouldn't come back without any pictures, so I'll start out with some fun Star Wars pictures with Daddy and Robbie in them.
This is the Blast-A-Trooper, daddy's shots are nicely grouped on the Stormtroopers helmet.
Daddy and Robbie borrowing stealing a speeder bike from under the Empires noses

I think the Bikerscout is on to you guys, you'd better make a run for it.
Speederbikes are fun to ride (as long as there aren't any trees around).
You'll get that joke about the Speederbikes if you've watched Star Wars Episode 6 Return of the Jedi.

Robbie wanted to play a LARP (Live Action Roll Playing) game where you shoot at zombies, so daddy took him to a room so he could do that.
See the little white things on the table, those are the "ammo" for shooting the zombies
Here comes the zombies, time to start "shooting' them.

Almost all dead
Zombies lining up to attack again

uh oh here they come again

What are you waiting for Robbie, start firing.

Two left, get em

Safe!!!!!
Oh, daddy also found something else, here I pause for a special message.

SPOILER ALERT (not really)
Daddy found out what happened to Han Solo after he was stabbed in the stomach, by Kylo Ren (Ben Solo) on Starkiller Base. He didn't actually die, someone found him.
And froze him in Carbonite...... Again....
Now, for the BIG photo op that I refered to earlier. Last Monday we were very excited because daddy's friend Tim was getting his picture taken with a celebrity and said that we could piggyback on his. By Thursday Tim had contacted daddy with a very big surprise, he'd gotten daddy his own photo op with the same celebrity. Who was this big celebrity you may ask? Well, he's done the voice for a Batman villain on a cartoon, he's also played the part of a villain on The Flash, and he's played a Jedi in four of the seven Star Wars movies. Give up?
It's MARK HAMILL of course.
He's done the voice of The Joker in the Batman cartoon, The Trickster on The Flash TV show and of course Luke Skywalker in four of the seven Star Wars movies. So, in that picture above from left to right is, grandma, Robbie, Mark Hamill, Daddy and me (I was a little shy meeting such a big star, so I hid.)

Now for some silly pictures daddy took of Robbie.
Robbie trying on Daddy's helmet, he looks really silly in it.

Robbie trying out the ghost trap from Ghostbusters

Oh, and just before me and daddy left, we recreated a famous picture from two years ago.
This is the original picture, Sunki sitting on the Emperors throne.
And here is the new picture, me, sitting on the Emperor's throne.
You'll probably notice that I'm a little grumpy looking, it's because of that stormtrooper hamming it up, he's supposed to be protecting his Emperor, NOT goofing off for the camera. Guess I'll have to Force choke this trooper to set him right.
